For Anyone : Monterey County man stuck in Montana

I'm a native Monterey County man working on a ranch in Montana and have been following the Sur Fire web for a couple of weeks know. I want to say who ever is responsible for this site thank you. Although it is tough to be so far away from home in such a trying time I find a little comfort keeping informed. I do wish that I could be there to help but I still need to work to pay the mortgage. My other half and I live on Jolon road in King City. She (Marlene)is a fire fighter for Camp Roberts and her crew is in Big Sur as I write. We had the Indians fire come just a couple of miles from or place while I was up here and have taken in some evacuated horses and mules. Marlene has a notice posted on this web that we still have room for more if anyone is in need. In closing I just want to say that I fell the entire Monterey County as my home for I and 11 genertions of my family have either lived, worked and played in every area these fires have affected and I want you to know that I wish you all the best from the South, North, East and West. You are my neibors, friends and family. Keep your chin up and keep fighting. Hope to be home soon to the real gods country and give you a hand at what ever I can.
